New Operating Model for Emerging Markets




Our client was experiencing a period of continued growth, and an existing hyperscale customer confirmed expansion plans into Asia. Whilst it’s existing team are experienced in all areas of development of wholesale Data Centre facilities, current workload, program pressure and demand for specific experience has motivated for additional support when it comes to operations and staffing, particularly in these new territories


VIPA Digital were invited to assist the team by contributing its operations skills and experience to propose a new operating model for the target locations in Asia.



VIPA Digital worked with the client team, to understand the end-user requirements, application of a 'blue-print' design and revised operating model, providing recommendations for a set of processes, procedures, and controls, (including EOPS, MOPS, & SOPS) that would provide a scalable operating platform for international growth.


Investigations into the supplier and regulatory landscape in the new markets also provided the input into the new Operating model that consisted of an OPEX/CAPEX budget and a revised staffing model suitable for the new regions.
